Banff Film Festival to be Shown at Appalachian

BOONE—Two night’s of the world’s best films on mountain sport, culture and environment will be featured during the Banff Mountain Film Festival March 30 and 31.

The “Best of the Fest” will feature two hours of different entertainment each night consisting of five to six films. The shows begin at 7:30 each night in the I.G. Greer Auditorium at Appalachian State University.

The Best of the Festival World Tour follows the Banff Mountain Film Festival’s world-renowned event that takes place in Banff, Alberta, Canada, every November.

The tour brings the festival’s best mountain and outdoor adventure films to 250 cities around the world.

The festival’s international competition received more than 130 entries from 25 countries.

Tickets for Appalachian students, faculty and staff are $5 for one night or $8 for both. Tickets for all others are $6 for one night or $10 for both.
