Tickets Go On Sale Oct. 3 for the Indigo Girls

BOONE–Concert promoters expect 1,700 tickets for an Indigo Girls concert in Appalachian State University’s Farthing Auditorium to sell out in less than two days.

The folk-pop duo have developed a large and loyal following since their debut album sold two million copies in the late ’80s.

Known most for their Billboard chart hits “Closer to Fine” and “Swamp Ophelia,” Indigo Girls Amy Ray and Emily Saliers will stop in Boone for a Oct. 26 concert featuring music from their seventh album “Come On Now Social.”

Doors open at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. show.

Tickets for Appalachian students go on sale Oct. 3 for $25. Tickets for the general public go on sale Oct. 4 at a cost of $30. Tickets are available at the Farthing Auditorium box office or call (800) 841-ARTS. There is a limit of four tickets per person.

All seats are reserved. No alcohol will be permitted.
