Appalachian Treble Choir Spring Concert is April 29

treble.jpgBOONE–The Appalachian Treble Choir at Appalachian State University plans to rock its audience with a variety of crowd pleasers during an April 29 spring concert in Rosen Concert Hall. The concert begins at 8 p.m. Admission is free.

The program spans a variety of musical genres, from British and American folk songs, to spirituals, ragtime and Top 40 classics.

The 50-plus voice women’s choir is directed by Priscilla Peebles. Accompanists are pianists Eleanore Manley and horn player Karen Robertson Smith.

The program includes folk songs “O Waly, Waly” and “He’s Gone Away,” spirituals “Down by the Riverside” and “Every Time I Feel the Spirit,” and popular classics “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “Dear Heart,” “The Rose” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”
