American Music Review Presented May 2

BOONE–The Rho Tau Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity at Appalachian State University will present an American Music Review on Thursday, May 2.

The free concert will begin at 8 p.m. in Broyhill Music Center’s Rosen Concert Hall.

Performing groups and individuals include the university’s Trumpet Choir, What’s Yer Pleasure, an a cappella group, bassoonist Todd Shahan, tenor Jimmy Buchanan and others.

Selections include “America the Beautiful,” a Simon and Garfunkel medley, “Give Me Jesus” and “Etudes to Spring.”

The Rho Tau chapter was established in 1967. The fraternity encourages and promotes the highest standard of creativity, performance, education and research in music.
