In 1983, he founded Lake Michigan Wind and Sun, a company that manufactures wind generator components and towers. He also installs wind systems. He is a regular contributor to Home Power Magazine, the American Wind Energy Association’s Windletter, and Solar Today magazine.

Examples of home-scale wind turbines will be on display. Participants will receive a comprehensive collection of reading and design materials, product literature and the U.S. Department of Energy’s new publication “Small Wind Electric Systems.” A copy of the new Truewinds interactive CD wind map for North Carolina will also be provided to all participants. This map allows viewers to obtain comprehensive wind data for any location in North Carolina.
