BOONE – Appalachian State University’s Board of Trustees discussed campus safety during their meeting held Dec. 2.

Trustees Say Tuition Increase Needed to Ensure Quality Education

BOONE—Appalachian State University’s Board of Trustees endorsed a $635 increase in campus-based tuition and fees for the 2006-07 academic year during its meeting Friday, Dec. 2. The proposed increase will be submitted to the UNC Board of Governors for approval.

Appalachian’s Commencement Rescheduled to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10

BOONE — Appalachian State University Provost Stan Aeschleman announced today that this Saturday’s (Dec. 10) commencement will be rescheduled from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. to allow the campus and the town to handle attendees for both commencement and the NCAA Division 1-AA semi-final football game between Appalachian and Furman at noon.

Contest Held to Name Library’s Coffee Shop

BOONE—Appalachian State University students have the opportunity to name a new coffee shop that will be located in the atrium of Carol Grotnes Belk Library and Information Commons.
