Looking Glass Gallery at Appalachian showcases student’s work

BOONE—Looking Glass Gallery in Appalachian State University’s Plemmons Student Union presents “Contemporary American Lifestyles: Consumption and Waste, an installation by Jennifer Livingston.

Livingston is an art management and studio art major at Appalachian.

The exhibit will run through March 21.

The installation highlights the American lifestyle of purchasing and disposing items, and brings the land used for these disposable objects into a space resembling our comfortable lives.

Looking Glass Gallery is located on the first floor of the student union across from Crossroads Coffeehouse.

An artist reception will be held Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 5:30 p.m.

The public is encouraged to attend.
