Blue Mountain Film Festival presents best in student documentaries

BLueMtnlogo_t.jpgBOONE—University Documentary Film Services at Appalachian State University will host the 2nd Annual Blue Mountain Film Festival April 7. The festival runs from 4 to 8 p.m. in Room 114 of Belk Library and Information Commons on the campus. The event is free and open to the public. An award-winning film will be announced each hour.

The festival features documentaries produced by Appalachian students from a variety of academic classes. Films range from three minutes to 30 minutes and include both video and audio formats.   Documentary categories include recreation/outdoor, environmental, social justice, cultural, history/biography and campus life.

The event is sponsored by University Documentary Film Services, University College, the Office of Admissions and the Parents Association.
