Romantic masterpieces performed Feb. 12 at Appalachian

BOONE—Concertgoers will be treated to a range of musical emotions during a Feb. 12 performance by the Appalachian Philharmonia from Appalachian State University’s Hayes School of Music. The free performance begins at 2 p.m. in Broyhill Music Center’s Rosen Concert Hall.

Eleven students from Appalachian State University recently traveled to Malawi to learn first-hand about managing Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and the obstacles to Malawi’s economic development. The trip was part of a course offered by the Walker College of Business.

Clarinetist Andrea Cheeseman performs Feb. 13

Momentum Dance Showcase to perform Jan. 27 – 28

BOONE — Gotta dance! Momentum Dance Club, the Appalachian State University student organization for those passionate about dance, presents Momentum Showcase 2012 Jan. 27-28. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. in Varsity Gym 208, a state-of-the-art classroom specifically designed for dance. Ticket prices start at $6 for Appalachian students. Record-breaking number of volunteers participate in MLK Challenge
