This year’s theme is “Community, Connection, Capacity.” Enjoy a full day of workshops, networking and a keynote presented by Karl Yena, a former director of RJR Nabisco. He now devotes his life to volunteerism and serving with nonprofit boards across North Carolina.

Sessions topics include nonprofit public policy, legal compliance, fundraising, social media, sustainable finances, life and work balance, financial accounting and community engagement.

Registration costs $40 before April 21 or $45 up to the day of the workshop. This covers parking, two meals, and a wealth of knowledge provided by nonprofit professionals across the state.

Scholarships to cover registration are sponsored by the North Carolina Community Foundation, and can be found at http://act.appstate.edu/stonesoupscholarship.
